Why are we told to COMPARE spiritual vs spiritual and to TRY the spirits?

I wish you really understood what that is saying. Not being sarcastic. Every thing listed here including Christ himself is spiritually symbolic. The letter of the law kills. Living in the flesh, the soul. Christ represents living in the spirit. And, that spirit is your spirit. Within, not without. The letter of the law kills but the spirit gives life. The letter of the law is the physical, soul spirituality called religion. The spirit that gives life is your very own spirit, the real you. So, you have 2 choices here no matter what your religion is. You can live by the law or you can live by your spirit. Your spirit knows all and is never wrong. This is what is actually being said in those verses.
