Do single moms have a chance at finding true love and getting married?

Are there men out there who would actually consider marrying a woman with a child? What kind of guy would date a single mom anyways? I'm a single mom w a boyfriend of nearly 2 years. He's told me he wants to marry me, but then makes excuses for why now's a bad time. He says it's finances. But then he spends 1k on a new mega flatscreen tv. We've lived together for a year and a half. Am I being too impatient? Or is he never going to ask?
