What are the most successful and pragmatic investment portfolios that are out there?

What I am asking consists of a mixture of investments that would include successful Large-cap, Mid-cap, and even Small-cap companies, bonds, and steady cash equivalents all strategically placed to where they gain the best possible profits long term. The best people that would be able to help me depends on their personal financial experience and research. I need people who have already dealt with gains and losses in their lifetime and have had their share of trial and error. If anyone has a successful allocation mixture that they have tested over the years and it has proven its legitimacy generally over time, then that is exactly what I am looking for. What works for you might also work for me; therefore I can afford and I am willing to take a risk because I don't have TOO much skill in this area anyways. If you have had profits of 10 percent to even 15 percent or higher, please give the company(s) that you choose and also the percentages that you used. I will do my research after that and make my decision from there. Whether the portfolio be diversified or aggressive, it doesn't matter which one, if you can prove how your portfolio was/is successful then it is just fine.
