How do I become closer to a cute dude I knew from school but started talking to online?

Okay, I have a small problem. We both really like each other. Well...at least the same music and the way we look. I messaged him a few more things about myself. We had a big firtexting thing last night, and I'm just worried both of us took it way more seriously. He told me he liked me yesterday, and that maybe one day we'll REALLY do STUFF!! He said how he'd totally kiss me. He may just want to get in my pants, but hey, he probably wants something more. I really think he IS a gooood guy, compared to these other jerks I run into. :) We started talking on facebook, but I knew him in 7th grade. He's so comforting and it's nice to have someone there for me. I am really excited about all this, but I don't know how to have an online relationship. Should I give him my number? Do E-mail? Wait til school starts? Keep it kind of low-key? What would you girls do? Guys, what would you do if you were him? HELP! It's harmless, but it confuses me...but heyyy finally someone who likes me!!!!!!
